Your phone's language is a device setting rather than anything to do with your Flex Mobile plan, so you can change it whenever you like without affecting your service.
On iPhone
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap General.
- Scroll down and tap Language & Region.
- Tap iPhone Language.
- Choose the language you want, then tap Change to confirm.
- Your iPhone restarts briefly. When it comes back, menus and apps are in the new language.
If you use more than one language, tap Add Language on the same screen. Your iPhone then uses your preferred language where an app supports it and falls back to the next one where it doesn't.
On Android
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap System, or General management on Samsung phones.
- Tap Languages & input, then Languages.
- Tap Add a language and choose the one you want.
- Drag your chosen language to the top of the list. Menus, notifications and supported apps switch to it.
The wording varies a little between Samsung, Motorola, Pixel and other manufacturers, and between Android versions, but the path is always inside System or General management.
What this doesn't change
Your Flex Mobile account, your plan and any emails from Flex Mobile stay in the language your account is set to. Changing your phone's language only changes the phone.
If the language you want isn't listed
Not every language is available on every phone or every version of Android. Installing any pending software update sometimes adds more.
