Wi-Fi calling needs a valid emergency (E911) address on your line. If your phone says to contact your carrier when you turn on Wi-Fi calling, the address on file is usually missing or invalid.
Update your emergency address
- Sign in at portal.getflexmobile.com.
- Open the Subscriptions tab and select your line.
- Under the name and email at the top of the page, select Edit.
- Scroll to Emergency address (E911) and enter the street, apartment or suite, city, state and ZIP code.
- Select Save.
This is the address sent to fire, police and other emergency services when you call 911 over Wi-Fi, so use the address where the phone is actually used.
Then turn Wi-Fi calling on
- Turn airplane mode on, wait 15 seconds, then turn it off again.
- Restart your phone.
- Open Settings, then Cellular (iPhone) or Network & internet > SIM (Android).
- Find Wi-Fi Calling and switch it on.
Wi-Fi calling only works when your line itself is active. If your line is paused, pay the overdue renewal first. If it still won't turn on, chat with us.
