If your Flex Mobile line shows as active but your phone won't connect, the fix is usually a network refresh. Work through these in order.
Refresh the connection
- Turn airplane mode on, wait ten seconds, then turn it off. Your phone searches for the network again and reconnects.
- If that doesn't do it, restart your phone and wait up to two minutes after it starts.
- Check that Flex Mobile is selected as your line for data. On a phone with more than one line, service can look active while data is pointed at the wrong one.
Reset your network settings
This clears saved network configuration and lets your phone set itself up again. It also clears saved wifi passwords, so have those to hand before you start. Full steps are in the network settings article.
Check your APN settings
Your APN, the setting that tells your phone how to reach the mobile data network, is set up automatically on most phones. Not every device manages it, so if data still won't work after everything else here, see the APN article rather than editing anything yourself.
If you're transferring your number
Your Flex Mobile line can show as active while the number is still moving over. Until the transfer completes, calls and texts continue on your old carrier. This is normal and it resolves on its own.
Check where you are
Move outdoors or to a different part of the building and give the phone a minute. Thick walls, basements and elevators block signal regardless of carrier.
If none of that works
Contact Flex Mobile support with your phone model, your location, and what you've already tried. They can check whether your line is provisioned correctly on the network.
