Your IMEI is the 15 digit number that identifies your phone. You'll need it to check compatibility, request an unlock, or report a phone lost. There are three ways to find it.
The quickest way, on any phone
- Open your phone app, the same one you use to dial a number.
- Enter *#06#. You don't need to press call.
- Your IMEI appears on screen. On eSIM capable phones, your EID appears underneath it. That is the number showing your phone supports eSIM.
On iPhone
- Open Settings.
- Tap General.
- Tap About.
- Scroll to IMEI. Press and hold the number to copy it.
On Android
- Open Settings.
- Tap About phone.
- Tap IMEI if you see it. If there's no IMEI entry, tap Status information instead, then tap IMEI information. Your IMEI appears on screen as a 15 digit number.
If your phone won't turn on
The IMEI is also printed on the original box, and on the SIM tray of most iPhones. Older phones sometimes have it printed under the battery.
