If you're moving to another carrier and want to keep your number, you can. Your number belongs to you, and Flex Mobile doesn't charge anything to release it.
Before you start
Don't cancel your Flex Mobile service. Your new carrier handles the transfer, and a canceled number can't be moved. Your Flex Mobile line closes automatically once the number leaves.
What your new carrier will ask for
- Your Flex Mobile phone number.
- Your Flex Mobile account number.
- Your Flex Mobile transfer PIN.
- The billing address on your Flex Mobile account.
See the article on getting your Flex Mobile account number and transfer PIN for where to find those.
How it goes
- Sign up with your new carrier and tell them you're keeping your existing number.
- Give them the four details above.
- Keep your Flex Mobile SIM or eSIM in your phone until the transfer completes.
- Your new carrier confirms when the number has moved. Your Flex Mobile service ends at that point.
What happens to what you've paid
Flex Mobile is prepaid, so you've paid for your term in advance. Refunds on prepaid multi month plans are available for unused full months only, and the month that's already started isn't refundable. Approved refunds are issued by check once a mailing address is confirmed.
What happens to your reward points
There's no penalty
No early termination fee and no contract. If you decide to come back later, you can.
If your new carrier says the details are wrong
Read the port-out account number and PIN off your subscription page again, character by character, since a single wrong digit is enough. If they still won't take, contact Flex Mobile support before canceling anything.
