Reinstalling your eSIM clears a profile that didn't install cleanly. It's a real fix for stubborn activation problems, but read the warning first.
Read this before you delete anything
Deleting an eSIM removes that service from your phone, and the original QR code can't be scanned a second time. Issue yourself a replacement first, using Order new SIM card on the subscription page, so you have a working code ready before the old one is gone.
When this is worth doing
- The eSIM installed but the line never activates.
- Your phone shows Flex Mobile in the list but permanently reads No Service.
- You're passing the phone on to someone else.
- Support has asked you to do it.
Delete the eSIM on iPhone
- Open Settings and tap Cellular.
- Tap the Flex Mobile plan.
- Scroll down and tap Delete eSIM, then confirm.
- The plan disappears from your list.
Delete the eSIM on a Samsung Galaxy
- Open the Settings app, the gray cog icon.
- Tap Connections, then tap SIM manager.
- Tap the Flex Mobile line under eSIMs.
- Tap Remove, then tap Remove again to confirm.
- The Flex Mobile line disappears from your SIM list.
Delete the eSIM on a Google Pixel
- Open the Settings app, the gray cog icon.
- Tap Network & internet, then tap SIMs.
- Tap the Flex Mobile line.
- Scroll down and tap Erase SIM, then tap Erase to confirm.
- The Flex Mobile line disappears from your list.
Reinstall it
Follow the eSIM activation guide for your phone using the new QR code from your account. Once installed, Flex Mobile appears in your plan list with signal bars.
If it fails again
A second failed install usually means something other than the profile. Work through the eSIM install troubleshooter, then contact support with your phone model and software version.
