Flex Mobile is prepaid and sold in 3 month and 6 month terms, so the timing of a plan change matters more than it would on a monthly contract.
You pick the start date
A plan change is scheduled rather than instant. You choose the date you want the new plan to begin, and until then you stay on what you have.
Lining the change up with the end of the period you've already paid for is the simplest approach, because nothing is left unused.
Changing your billing term
Moving between a 3 month and a 6 month term happens at the end of your current term, in the same way as a downgrade.
What doesn't change either way
Your phone number and your service continue without interruption. You don't reactivate anything, and your eSIM stays exactly as it is.
What to check afterward
- Sign in and confirm your account shows the new plan.
- Check your data allowance matches what the new plan includes.
- If you moved to Flex Unlimited or Flex Unlimited Plus, test that the hotspot works.
- Check your reward points move to the new plan's monthly rate on your next cycle.
If the new plan doesn't show up
Give it a few minutes and refresh the page. If your account still shows the old plan after that, contact Flex Mobile support with the date and time you made the change.
