There's no contract and no early termination fee, so you can stop whenever you want. There's one thing to do first though, and getting the order wrong can cost you your phone number.
If you want to keep your number, transfer it first
Don't cancel first. When your Flex Mobile line is cancelled, the number is released immediately and goes back into the pool, where it can be given to someone else. A transfer needs an active line, so once the line is gone there is nothing left to transfer, and getting the number back is difficult or impossible.
Sign up with your new carrier first.
Give them your Flex Mobile account number and transfer PIN. You'll find both in your account at portal.getflexmobile.com. Your Flex Mobile line closes on its own once the number leaves, so there's nothing else for you to cancel.
If your new carrier says the transfer was rejected, see the article on transferring your number out. Newly activated numbers can be protected against transfer for a period, and that's the usual reason.
If you don't need the number
Contact Flex Mobile support and ask to cancel. Have your account email and phone number ready so they can verify you.
Contact support to cancel. There's no cancellation fee.
What you get back
Flex Mobile is prepaid, so you've already paid for your term. Refunds on prepaid multi month plans cover unused full months only. The month already in progress isn't refundable. Approved refunds are issued by check once a mailing address is confirmed.
What isn't refundable
Data top-ups are final and non refundable, whether or not you used the data.
Before you go
- Transfer your number out if you want to keep it.
- Save anything you need from your account, such as billing statements.
- Spend reward points you're holding, if they expire.
- Delete your Flex Mobile eSIM from your phone once the service has ended.
Coming back later
There's no penalty for leaving and nothing stopping you signing up again.
