To get your calls working again, start with the quick checks and work down. Which symptom you have narrows it down fast.
First, the quick checks
- Check airplane mode is off.
- Check your status bar. If it says No Service or SOS, this is a signal problem rather than a calling problem, so go to the no signal article.
- Turn airplane mode on for ten seconds and off again, then try a call.
- Restart your phone and wait up to two minutes, then try again.
If you can't make calls but can receive them
Check whether call barring or a call restriction is switched on in your phone settings. Then check the number you're dialling includes the area code, since some phones won't complete a call without it.
If you can't receive calls but can make them
- Check Do Not Disturb and any Focus mode are off.
- Check call forwarding isn't switched on, which sends everything elsewhere before your phone rings.
- Check Silence Unknown Callers, which sends anyone not in your contacts straight to voicemail.
- Check your blocked numbers list.
If you're mid number transfer
While your number is moving to Flex Mobile, calls still arrive on your old carrier. Keep the old SIM in your old phone until the transfer completes.
If your signal is weak where you are
Turn on wifi calling. It's included on every Flex Mobile plan and routes calls over wifi, which is the practical answer for a home or office with poor coverage.
If none of that works
Reset your network settings, then contact Flex Mobile support with your phone model, your location, and whether it affects outgoing calls, incoming calls, or both.
