Flex Mobile bills differently from a postpaid carrier. Once you see how the pieces fit together, everything on your account makes sense.
You pay for a term, up front
You buy either a 3 month or a 6 month term when you sign up. That payment covers your service for the whole term, rather than settling a bill for a month you've already used.
Your monthly cycle sits inside that term
Data allowances run in monthly cycles. Your plan renews on the anniversary of the day you activated, not on the first of the month, and your data resets then.
Unused data doesn't roll over. Whatever is left at the end of a cycle doesn't carry into the next one.
What you're charged
- Your plan price, at the introductory rate for the length of your term.
- Taxes, which are already included rather than added on top.
What you're never charged
No activation fee, no fee for bringing your own device, no early termination fee, and no charge for using more data than your plan includes.
One off charges
Data top-ups are charged separately when you buy them and are non refundable.
When your rate changes
Your introductory rate lasts as long as your term, and the standard rate applies afterward. Current rates for every plan are on the Flex Mobile store at https://portal.getflexmobile.com/storefront.
Choosing your billing cycle
Flex Mobile offers four billing cycles, so you can trade flexibility against savings.
- 1 month, renewed monthly, for maximum flexibility.
- 3 months, billed quarterly.
- 6 months, billed twice a year, with more savings.
- 12 months, the most cost effective option.
You choose your cycle when you sign up. Your plan renews every 30 days, either automatically with autopay or manually.
Changing your billing cycle
Plan upgrades take effect immediately. Plan downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep your current plan's benefits until then and your service is not interrupted.
